Your Hands Are Important

Your hands are important and you use them relentlessly for extremely long hours daily. ie.. using a laptop/computer, mobile phone, etc., overuse of the hands and fingers over time will create issues such as tight, sore, achy, and in some instances slight swelling of the hands and fingers.

As a therapist, my hands are used incessantly, and it is paramount that I have healthy hands. So, I created a programme for stretching my hands and fingers after completing a massage session, and it has certainly helped to keep my hands and fingers in awesome condition. Watch out for videos next month demonstrating exercises for healthy hands, and I will also demonstrate neck exercises.

These are some ailments that can affect the hands and fingers

Rheumatoid arthritis, which can attack joints throughout the body, commonly affects the joints and surrounding tendons of the wrist and fingers.

Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when pressure on the median nerve passes through the carpal tunnel. This can cause tingling, numbness, and pain in the hands and fingers.

Trigger finger is the common name for a condition that leads to swelling in the tendons that control finger bending

Osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis. It can affect hands and wrists, particularly the joints at the ends of the fingers.

Take Care of Your Feet

Where would you be without your feet? This is a question that I’ve frequently found myself asking a client who loathes the sight of their feet. Your feet support your body weight and need some TLC.

Regularly massage your feet for 5 to 10 minutes and you will experience improved circulation, it stimulate the foot muscles, and reduce aches and pains.

Massage

A foot massage treatment is the perfect remedy for tired, achy, sore feet and stress. This treatment will boost immunity by stimulating the lymphatic system removing toxins and putting the body in a state of relaxation.
